Hi, I'm Virginia.

For nearly 30 years, I've helped students strengthen their writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills. I work with middle and high school students from both homeschool and traditional-school backgrounds, including many bright but overwhelmed learners and students with ADHD.

My goal is simple: help students move from frustration and self-doubt to greater confidence and independence. Whether we're tackling essay writing, literary analysis, reading comprehension, or academic organization, I meet students where they are and build skills step by step.

Originally from Georgia, I now live in Germany near the Dutch border. As someone who has spent years learning a second language myself, I understand how challenging learning can feel when something just isn't clicking. That experience has shaped my teaching style—patient, encouraging, practical, and often sprinkled with a little humor.

When I'm not tutoring, you'll usually find me reading, traveling, playing Dungeons & Dragons or Pokemon, or spending time with my three cats.
